Traditional Vintage Moroccan Rug
Some finds you can’t plan for. Armelle spotted this one, and that’s exactly what makes it worth having.
The warm brown base sets the tone — understated, grounding — while the geometric patterns do all the talking. Triangles, diamonds, and what might be symbols, a figure, perhaps even a house. The composition is roughly symmetrical, but never rigid. That slight looseness? That’s the handmade part.
The colors — burnt orange, deep green, strong red — hold their own against the neutral background without ever feeling loud. Even the fringes have held onto a hint of color, a quiet sign of how long this rug has been around.
A rug woven for a home, not for export
This is an Azilal rug — a style from the Atlas Mountains, traditionally woven by Berber women for their own households. Not made to order, not made for a market stall. Made for a family, with care and intention.
At 9.1 ft (278 cm) long, it works beautifully as a hallway runner — but it’s just as much at home under a coffee table or alongside a bed. Pair it with natural textures like linen or chunky cotton, and let the warm brown base do the heavy lifting.
Dimensions:2.85/3.6 ft x 9.1 ft – 87/110 x 278 cm (fringes included)
It may show signs of wear or small repairs here and there. We think that’s part of the appeal, not a flaw. Please look through the photos carefully and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions before you order.
