Handmade in Morocco in a resistant Mediterranean grass called alfa or esparto, similar to wicker, rattan, or bamboo. They are all unique and can have different designs. There may be slight variations in shape, size, or color depending on the condition of the material. The color is sometimes green when the material is young and becomes increasingly yellow with time and sunshine. Leave the head in the sun for a few days so that it will take a nice golden-tanned color—further information in our article about the doum fiber.
