It may have certain irregularities that guarantee its authenticity. The design could be slightly different. Moroccan artisans made it of doum palm fiber, also called esparto, a resistant and raw Mediterranean plant. The material is similar to rattan, wicker, or bamboo.
The color is sometimes green when the material is young and becomes more and more light beige, yellow, or tanned, with time and sunshine. To accelerate the yellowing of the fiber, leave the sculpture in the sun for a few days.

J’en ai mise une dans ma salle à manger, et j’adore le résultat. Ça donne un côté naturel et en même temps original, j’adore. J’ai longuement hésite, je ne savais pas laquelle choisir tellement toutes ces têtes sont intéressantes. Et merci Nathalie pour l’envoi soigné, même si cela a mis un peu de temps à arriver (j’étais trop impatiente de l’avoir !)
