The ceiling light is made with two different weaving techniques. Our expert artisans begin with the doum plant, a traditional Moroccan fiber similar to rattan or wicker. They skillfully intertwine it with palm rope for a truly unique and visually captivating design. That makes the perfect modern airy pendant light that exudes laid-back vibes.

This woven pendant light is handcrafted and unique. It may have certain irregularities that make it so charming. There may be slight variations in shape, size, or color. The color is sometimes green when the material is young and becomes more and more tanned over time and with exposure to sunlight—further information about the doum fiber is in our article.

Here are a few tips to enhance your experience with the suspension:

* To accelerate the yellowing of the fiber, leave the suspension in the sun for a few days.
* Alfa fiber, the Mediterranean grass used to make these luminaires, is malleable. If it has been folded during transport and keeps its shape due to transport, let it sit on the ground for a few hours until it returns to its standard form. If this is not the case, you can spray it lightly and help it with weights or templates.

Please note that the electric cable is not included, but you can easily pass the wire through the opening. To assemble the fixture, I usually tie a nice string (hempy strings fit perfectly to this) from the ceiling to the shade handle. The line length depends on the distance you want your lamp to be off the top.
