It may have certain irregularities that guarantee its authenticity. The design could be slightly different. Moroccan artisans made it of doum palm fiber, also called esparto, a resistant and raw Mediterranean plant. The material is similar to rattan, wicker, or bamboo.

The color is sometimes green when the material is young and becomes more and more light beige, yellow, or tanned, with time and sunshine. To accelerate the yellowing of the fiber, leave the sculpture in the sun for a few days.
